KEEP LIFE SAFE FOUNDATION MARKS WORLD MENSTRUAL HYGIENE DAY 2026 AT VOX CARITAS IZOMBE

In commemoration of World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026, Keep Life Safe Foundation for the Less Privileged successfully carried out a menstrual hygiene and awareness outreach at Vox Caritas, Izombe.

The outreach, which focused on menstrual hygiene education and organ trafficking awareness, was aimed at enlightening and empowering students with knowledge capable of protecting their health, dignity, safety, and future.

The Keep Life Safe Foundation team, represented by four members, was warmly received by the management and students of Vox Caritas, Izombe.

During the programme, both male and female students actively participated in various educational and awareness sessions carefully designed to promote healthy living, safety consciousness, and personal wellbeing.

The sessions featured:

‣ A brief introduction and overview of Keep Life Safe Foundation by Icheku Onyemaechi Lucy

‣ An enlightening talk on organ trafficking by Mr. Mark Chilaka, where students were educated on the dangers of organ trafficking, warning signs, safety precautions, and ways to avoid becoming victims

‣ A comprehensive menstrual hygiene lecture by Mrs. Chinagorom Owuamanam, where the female students were taught the meaning of menstruation, signs, healthy hygiene practices, and proper menstrual care

As part of the outreach, sanitary pads were distributed to the girls present, ensuring that each girl left with a pack of sanitary pads to support proper menstrual hygiene management.

Beyond the distribution of materials, the outreach created a safe and impactful environment for learning, awareness, encouragement, and empowerment.

At Keep Life Safe Foundation, we remain committed to promoting dignity, protecting lives, empowering vulnerable communities, and creating meaningful impact through humanitarian outreaches and awareness programmes.

We sincerely appreciate the management of Vox Caritas, Izombe, for their warm reception and support towards the success of this programme.

Together, we can continue building safer, healthier, and more empowered communities.
